The Color Quiz

October 16, 2007

I took the Color Quiz that I read about over at Dr. Ragan’s Psychology of Clutter blog and here are my results. I only took the test once, and I have a feeling my color prefs might be different tomorrow. So here are the results of the Color Quiz test I took this morning.

Your Existing Situation:
Readily participates in things that provide excitement or stimulation. Wants to feel exhilarated.
My Take: Just because I like orange and yellow, doesn’t mean I want to sky dive. I do like to have fun, and I adore excitement, but you won’t find me at the end of no bungie. OK, I do like stuff that makes one jump around and laugh like crazy.

Your Stress Sources:
Wishes to be independent, unhampered, and free from any limitation or restriction, other than those which she imposes of herself or by her own choice and decision.
My Take: Yes, I plan to win the MegaMillions lottery on a BIG day.

Your Restrained Characteristics:
Feels she is receiving less than her share, but that she will have to conform and make the best of her situation.
My Take: If I were still trapped in an office cubicle, working for Corporate, this would probably ring true. I do have conformance issues. I live with a Vegan Veggie, bless his green little heart, and conforming to his lifestyle in a way that works for me without offending his sensibilities takes some doing, you know, like making my morning coffee next to the stove with the fan on so the nasty coffee fumes don’t get in his face :>

Your Desired Objective:
Hopes that ties of affection and good-fellowship will bring release and contentment. Her own need for approval makes her ready to be of help to others and in exchange she wants warmth and understanding. Open to new ideas and possibilities which she hopes will prove fruitful and interesting.
My Take: Does this equate to ‘I just love telling other people what to do and expect them to be nice about it?’ Actually, these days I work as a Personal Assistant so I think there is a tie-in there. As for Fruitful New Ideas . . . oh please, no, I hate new stuff, new stuff is constantly crashing in waves around me. Don’t get me started on why I am taking another class tonight on using Dreamweaver to generate code, and why CSS is next on the list, and Forms.

Your Actual Problem:
Feels restricted and prevented from progressing; seeking a solution which will remove these limitations.
My Take: I think we just got back to the MegaMillions lottery and how thrilled I was when Gov. Schwarzenegger got it California in on it.

So what do I think about all of this? I like these little quizes, but I hate giving up personal preferences to strangers who have figured out a way to market them. But, since I am using a blog, might be time to get over that ;>
